JULIA
STEMOCK created her film production company, Greenstem Productions,
Inc. in 1991 to produce television and feature film productions after
being in the film industry for eighteen years. In the first year of
the company's existence, she produced a full-length feature film, Blade.
In 1993, Greenstem completed a thirty-minute short subject film with
Alberon Productions, Last Sunday Morning, which was awarded
the Gold Award for Short Subject, Comedy/Adaptation at Worldfest-Charleston
1994, and the Gold Award for Short Subject, Comedy/Adaptation at the
Worldfest-Houston 1995.
Greenstem has developed its first television series, "Our Life,"
a one-hour family drama. Julia is the Co-Creator and Producer of the
series, which is being considered by the major networks. 1996 marked
a winning script for The Seduction of Auntie Rose at the
Worldfest-Charleston, Gold Award - Original Screenplay Drama by Alpha
Blair. In 1998, Julia produced The Disturbance at Dinner,
which won the Bronze Award at Worldfest-Huston, and was under Academy
Awards® consideration in 1998.
Greenstem Productions, Inc. was one of the sponsors of the 2001 Temecula
Valley Film Festival, with Greenstem's President, Julia Stemock being
named Event Production Director for the festival. The best up and coming
creative talents in film and music from all over the world would compete
for recognition, honor and prizes during the festival.
In 1997, Julia and Greenstem Productions, Inc. produced the feature
film Foreign Correspondents and reconnected with Cassava
Films in 2002 to produce Claustrophobia which is scheduled
to be released by Lions Gate. In 2004, Julia Stemock met and joined
with consulting producer Dan Grodnik to Line Produce Blue Demon
and Glass Trap.
